What is Feng Shui?
This is a study about Qi on the Earth, about
living in harmony with the Qi, about enhancing Sheng Qi and decreasing Sha Qi.
What is Qi? It is not easy to answer shortly.
Qi is a wide concept. Qi includes Sun light, Moon light, air, wind, magnetic
field; it includes visible and invisible matter and energy.
What is Sheng Qi? This is good and
benevolent qi bringing auspicious energy and giving the possibility to enjoy
all the beautiful things on Earth.
What is Sha Qi? This is some kind of
Qi bringing bad energy, bad feeling or harm.
We want to
live in harmony with Earth’s energies, enjoy good qi and avoid sha qi. This is
a normal desire of a living person and Feng Shui can help in that matter.
What do
words “feng” and “shui” means?
Feng Shui means Wind and Water in the literal sense.
Actually Chinese language differs from our western languages. One Chinese
character means a whole word and two or three words could mean a whole concept.
Like phrase “Feng Shui” carries more than these two words but rather an idea of
a study about Qi in the Universe, about Qi moving with wind and being gathered
by water.
Feng Shui
deals with magnetic field. Knowing the magnetic declination is necessary for
Feng Shui audit. But this is not all. The surroundings must be taken into
account. Outside forms are important to the living place being audited. And
here you may remember something you've heard about form school of feng shui and
compass school of feng shui. The form school is often regarded as a separate
school of feng shui and compass school as another separate school of feng shui.
It’s not the case. For good feng shui audit both the forms and magnetic
declination must be considered.
Feng shui considers the time aspect in assessing your home and outside forms.
